I don't use it, but the results of the study are scary.

This has been known for years but the soybean industry in the US is worth mega bucks and they suppress a lot of info. They funded the studies on trans fats over 35 years ago but withdrew the funding when it started becoming apparent that trans fats are bad for you. A few dedicated scientits finished that research on limited funds and even working without pay, but the oilseed industry suppressed the results for 25 years.

If you want to get fat, use polyunsaturated oils. Ever noticed that butter takes up a fraction of the space that polyunsaturated margarines use in the supermarket? As we've cut out saturated fats the incidence of heart disease, obesity, cancer, and other serious health diseases has risen correspondingly.

I read an interesting article a few days ago that was a study that showed the effect on the brain and mood of people taking medications - they were less happy and more inclined to violent actions. I've said for quite a while now that everyone seems to be angry now, and this is probably why. Just read the forums and you'll see how negative and angry people are!

The only way soy should be eaten is when it's been fermented the way the Japanese and other Asians do it!!

I'd be careful of your source with that too. I've read quite a few articles that say the mafia is heavily involved in the olive oil industry in places like Italy and Spain. Maybe they were untrue or that it was before or after I bought the oil for my castile soap because one woman who was allergic to just about everything on the planet said my soap didn't cause her any problems at all.

I buy Australian olive oil. The foreigh stuff was typically (when I bought it) last year's crop at best.

I'd like to make my own but between hailstorms and branches from the neighbour's tree smashing up my olive tree, I don't seem to be able to get a decent crop the last couple of years.
