Looks like Bronnie Bishop will get the gig, apparently (according to abbott) she is going to attempt to re-introduce a bit of decorum to the House.
"I want to bring some dignity back to the parliament and that means a Speaker who can control the parliament and who can act without fear or favour."
Will her first act be to kick out the poodle ?

I remember the Minister of Caged Hair
In the second term of the Howard government, Bishop proved trouble prone as Minister for Aged Care, (or Caged Hair as the unkind termed her), particularly over the difficult issue of raising standards in nursing homes, and dealing with the impact of the GST on aged services. Dropped from the frontbench after the 2001 election, she attempted to become Speaker after the 2004 election. Re-joined the Liberal front bench when Tony Abbott became Leader in 2010.

The nicname of Poodles Pyne was given to him by his own colleagues.
Probably in reference to his hair.

I think he has enough descriptive terms applied to him without being attributed with someone else's.
