Spiders

I am totally petrified of spiders, makes no difference if they are daddy long legs, redbacks or tiny ones.

Right now I am in the sewing room, with a towel at the door and 2 dogs and a 4 yo in here. No food, no water.

I had to get a box of paperwork from the garage and bring it insideWoman Surprised to find something for my FIL's house sale.

So, I am looking.......... and from between the folds of papers, out comes a massive spider!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It isn't a hunstman Woman Indifferent it is bigger and huge!! So, lots of screaming, grab the surface spray and almost empty it, grab the vac and up it goes.................. then another one runs across the floor! The rest of the spray is now gone and spider 2 is up the vac with a plastic bag tied over the end. Woman Sad

As I went to replace the papers, another one is in the box!!!!!!!!!!!! so, opened the door, turfed it out on the patio, whacked on a lid and put a can of fuel on top.............

Now waiting for someone to come Woman Embarassed

The spider is massive, has a huge bulb type back end and dark brown.

Re: Spiders

Best thing for killing spiders.....hair spray, it imobizers them, and it doesnt take much.

In saying that, I hate spiders, and cant go near them, so OH or someone else has to spray them.    If there is a huntsman in a room, I cant go in that room until it is caught.

Re: Spiders

Spiders are not beautiful to me.................... and do not belong in my house. The spraying was done in the kitchen, so no fumes here, lol. Someone better come soon...............

Have you ever woken up as a spider runs across your face?

Spiders love me. They move in and build webs every where, including my car.

Woman Surprised Goodness no! I would probably have heart failure!

All fixed now, daughter came, child gone and I am less freaked out. However, I am never going in the garage again!

Re: Spiders

giggling here.......easiest way to remove a spider is place a large glass over it then slide a piece of paper under the glass....lift the paper with glass on top and let the spider go outside.

Re: Spiders

That's what I do too, Twinkles.

I see no reason for killing them.   They are one of nature's miracles and just trying to survive....like the rest of us.

Re: Spiders

I was laying on the couch with my daughter recently when we felt all these little things drop on us. Looked up at ceiling and there were hundreds of baby huntsman spiders scurrying across.

We have a couple of palm trees outside our loungeroom that are a haven for huntsman spiders. We had the windows open so I suspect they all got blown in or something.

I was sorry to had to do but I got the spray out and sprayed as many as I could. Felt like a murderer!

But given the frequency with which we see huge ones in the house I suspect I missed quite a few lol.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
