"CHANNEL Ten show The Project has been forced to apologise after a guest inadvertently outed Santa Claus as a fake, prompting hundreds of parents to complain.
There were no doubt countless awkward conversations in living rooms across the country when comedian Kitty Flanagan made the declaration not once, but twice, that Santa doesn’t exist."
Is it OK to lie to kids?

Yes..that would be up to them...and why just Christianity or Islam, Bob...there are 100's of other religions they could follow if they so wished.
Go with the popular ones. Plus you want to choose the ones with the worst hell.

Childhood is short enough and to deprive them of a little magic when they are tiny is in my opinion cruel.
There's always Christianity or Islam if you want to keep the magic going for the rest of their life.
or you could explain the Big Bang, abiogenesis and Evolution to them - that should keep them entertained.

Bob, you can be the biggest spoil-sport when you want to be.
Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, are all days of love, caring, giving and magic. No matter if you believe in one thing or another. It's those special days in our lifes that make all the troubles and struggles disappear for just one magic day, and make life bearable and worthwhile.
The delight on a childs face, The gentle smile from a loved one. The enthusiastic hugs.
For me it is enough to believe in Fairytales.
(not the ones our politicians tell us.)
