On the advice of my children (because I know nothing) we signed up for the netflix free trial

 

Might rethink our foxtel package

You can just sign up on your computer and take a look anyway, there will be loads of offers around

Fairfax and Nine have a service also,called Stan.I don't know much about it though.

The other thing is if you have a large phone you can download the app and watch while you are waiting .....sport in my case

It can't hurt to have a play with the free trial.  And as tiny toes said, Playstation is a good option if you have any of those online.  My SIL uses his Playstation because their old TV didn't have a way to connent to the net but connects to the playstation and the playstation connects to the net via wifi.

My son has an xbox that he doesnt use, maybe that will work. School holidays start next week so figuring it all out might be delgated to the teenagers 🙂

It will certainly keep them occupied for a while, sorting out and testing streaming services  😄

With Stan, Presto, and now NetFlix entering the market it sure offers the consumer a bit more than Foxtel does. I think Foxtel will have to get its bean counters to crunch the numbers and come up with some cheaper packages. It will be interesting to see what Foxie does.
