Here's a link to an article I just read.
We need to stop buying stuff – and I know just the people to persuade us (msn.com)
It sort of resonated with me.
Is there anyone else out there who is a bit guilty of accumulating-stuff?
I've been telling myself for years I need to declutter before I die but I have gone from a home that housed 3 kids to an empty nest where those 3 bedrooms are still full. How did that happen!
Sitting right next to me in a big bag next to the computer are lots of high heel shoes I have decided I can live without and which I barely wore.😑
Yet I still love it when there's a delivery. The latest yesterday was of Christmas ornaments.
Does anyone else here have too much of anything they think might need a sort?

I often cover up my stuff with party plastic tablecloths. 🙂

I’m very big on ‘projects’…. I get on Pinterest and look at ‘stuff others have done’ and I think to myself ‘oh, I’m going to do that’…. So I buy the stuff to do it, the stuff gets stored in a shed until I have time to get to it, then next thing you know, it’s 5-6yrs later. 😆
Two days ago, I bought a wooden single bed, the idea is to turn it into a garden bench.
…I stored it in the …. You guessed it…. Garage 😂
I’ll get a round to it….. eventually. If not, there’s a single wooden bed up for grabs lol

I have a garage too, but it is already full. On top of that somebody had left a couch in it when I moved in. 😞

There's a weirdly addictive site on facebook called upcycleit. I think you'd like it. It's a public group.
I'm not even into projects that much but I see some of what the posters there have done and think-yes! Doesn't look too hard and wow, isn't that great!
Not everything is great though and not everything is easy, but still, it is interesting to see sometimes what just a coat of paint can do.
Oh & I hear you about the single bed. In this same room I have a cot (taken apart) and inner spring cot mattress. Excellent condition, given to us for when we had grandkids over so now I am ready to pass it on to someone else for free. Just haven't got around to it, what with lockdown etc

Put your free stuff out on the curb with a sign that says FREE.
People love free stuff, they’ll take anything as long as it’s free, even rubbishy stuff.
I know! I’m one of those people 😶
………..I need help…… 😭😭(getting that free rocking chair in the back of my car!!!!)😂🤣😂

Or put it in a box that looks like a parcel that has just been left in an unsafe place by AusPost... 😎
