Suggestions for repelling cats

Dont get me wrong, I love animals BUT it seems the local wandering cats have decided to use the rock path at the front of my house as a kitty litter tray.  They are digging little holes everywhere and pooping in them.  Anyone know a safe and humane way to repel these little baggers and stop them pooping on my path?

Re: Suggestions for repelling cats

Yeah, I know, a dog might be taken more seriously.

I took a video of its behaviour, and photos of my injuries, but this council is only interested in collecting obscenely high rates.

They kept promising to send the ranger out month after month after month.

I know this cat is not the normal, it is a combination of a bad personality and a bad owner.

Maybe the cat hasn't been neutered. Neutering generally calms them down somewhat.

I think so, it is a large, surly male. But the owners are very much the same.

That's another thing. De-sexing should be mandatory.

Ha Ha, Amber. Yeah, that's a thought. Probably would help the owners too.

Show cats, yes ok leave them entire I suppose. I think all show cat owners have their animals in some kind of enclosure because they have too much time and money invested in their well-being.

A Jack Russell would clear them out in no time 😉

Re: Suggestions for repelling cats

In all fairness I dont believe in mandatory de-sexing.  A pet owner license, now that I would agree with.  The way I see it is if people are responsible with their pets then they shouldn't all need to be de-sexed.  It should be the owners choice imo.

Something that really gets up my goat is the fact that one has to be a registered breeder these days if they want their dog to have a litter of puppies.  I have a beautiful female husky and she would've made an awesome mummy but I accidentally left the gate open one morning after the walk and she went for a wander, someone caught her and called the pound and I was ordered to have her de-sexed and because she was a pound release they didn't treeat her the same as a dog that has been booked in the "normal way"  I was really disgusted that they idin't even give her the after anesthetic pain killers or anything, all the other dogs had little coloured baindaids over the shaved bit on their legs that the needle goes in, Mine had nothing.  I almost felt like crying "discrimination" but didn't, luckily I had some pain killers at home I could give her.

One more rant I have is I just dont believe in spending big money on animals just because they are a particular breed, when there are so many orphaned and unwanted animals that are desperate for homes, It bugs me that people are so picky and choosy about the breed they have.
