Hi everyone.
I am excited to be getting a new little kitten in a couple of weeks. It is a little grey tabby and is the runt of the litter so very small. We have called her Misty.
It has been a long time since I had a kitten and times have changed.
What do you feed tiny kittens these days? I don't think you give them milk anymore - or is that just puppies? They are in the unit
next door and she is feeding them some type of cat feed in a tube??? I thought fresh food, maybe chicken mince or such might be better.
Also, what is the best kitty litter? I have just bought a tray until she is larger then I will get one with a flap as I didn't think she was big enough to push it open.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Hi vampire - thanks for your input. I am taking everything on board.
Hi Kylie - haven't seen you around for ages. Hope everything is going fine for you. I bet your little one is growing now. Our Milla is a delight and a really happy little girl. She'll be 1 in 4 weeks. Time goes too quick. How's the driving lessons going for your eldest? Great to hear from you .

Adorable and so cute. Buy the scratching pole straight away and start the brushing routine immediately.
Also play with his paws inbetween the toes to get him used to touch and I use the enviromentally friendly litter from Coles.
Curfew him around 4pm and do not relent lol.
Good luck, I'm so jealous.

Thanks silverfaun - I bought the scratching post before we got the kitten and the tiny little think climbs it and sleeps in the box part.
Someone suggested getting the enclosed litter trayt and taking the door off - have done that.
We only got him yesterday and he is going back for a week when we go away on Monday.
He had his first vaccination yesterday and was wormed. The vet said he was very tiny and because he was taken from his mum very young, to give him some dry food and kitten milk. He said to crush the dry food up smaller so I bought some expensive stuff from the vet and give it a whack with the meat tenderiser. I have also bought him some chicken mince and beef mince with no preservatives in it and mix a spoon full with some warm water - he seems to love it. Also bought some kitten worming syrup as he has to be wormed every two weeks.
Thanks again everyone for the advice.
