Summoning the hillbillies

hiya there, as you may know i won the music challenge - that is my hubby won it because he forgot to sign me out....

then i had to think of a theme and i thought hard and long.

i had all those ideas feeling like a child in a sweet shop.

most themes were too difficult to find music to fit. i wanted to make the theme "hillbillies" but because my mind was so jumbled up and i tried to connect the vcr (seems to be dead) to watch star trek i sorta forgot and posted the wrong theme.

when i remembered there were already replies so i couldn't delete it and start anew.

long story short:

there was a radio show on once where they had hillbilly music and it was with yodeling.

not the sort of music i would like to hear every day but it was fun. since then that music show mostly is boring.

i would like you to post fun hillbilly music, not that dreary serious stuff but stuff that is fun, strange and may contain yodeling.

Wolverton Mountain  Claude King.

They say don't go on Wolverton Mountain if you're looking for a wife
Cause Clifton Clowers has a pretty young daughter
He's mighty handy with a gun and a knife

Her tender lips (Her tender lips)
Are sweeter than honey
And Wolverton Mountain protects her there

The bears and the birds tell Clifton Clowers
If a stranger should enter there

All of my dreams are on Wolverton Mountain
I want his daughter for my wife
I'll take my chances and climb that mountain
Though Clifton Clowers he might take my life

Her tender lips (Her tender lips)
Are sweeter than honey
And Wolverton Mountain protects her there

The bears and the birds tell Clifton Clowers
If a stranger should wander there

I'm going up on Wolverton Mountain
It's too lonesome down here below
It's just not right to hide his daughter
From the one who loves her so

Her tender lips (Her tender lips)
Are sweeter than honey
And Wolverton Mountain protects her there

The bears and the birds tell Clifton Clowers
If a stranger should wander there

But I don't care about Clifton Clowers
I'm gonna climb up on his mountain
I'm gonna take the girl I love
I don't care about Clifton Clowers
I'm gonna climb up on that mountain
And I'll get the one I love
I don’t care about Clifton Clowers

Ed Corbin in Jerry Reeds "Amos Moses" Video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOdJSN-TWjk

Well Amos Moses was a Cajun,
He lived by himself in the swamp.
He hunted alligators for a livin,
He just knocked 'em in the head with a stump.
The Louisiana law gonna get ya Amos
It ain't legal hunting alligators down in the swamp, boy

Well everybody blames his old man,
For makin' him mean as a snake,
When Amos Moses was a boy
His daddy would use him for alligator bait.
Tie a rope around his neck, and throw him in the swamp,
Alligator bit him in a Louisiana bayou

About 45 minutes southeast of Thibodeaux, Louisiana
Lived a man named Doc Milsap and his pretty wife Hanna
hey raised up a son who could eat up his weight in groceries,
Named him after a man of the cloth,
Called him Amos Moses

Well, the folks around south Louisiana
Said Amos was a hell of a man
He could trap the biggest, the meanest alligator
And just use one hand
That's all he's got left cause an alligator bit him
Left arm gone clean up to the elbow

Well the sheriff caught wind that Amos
Was in the swamp huntin' alligator skins
So he snuck in the swamp, gonna getcha boy,
But he never come out again.
Well, I wonder where the Louisiana sheriff went to?
You can sure get lost in a Louisiana bayou!

About 45 minutes southeast of Thibodeaux, Louisiana

Lived a man named Doc Milsap and his pretty wife Hanna
They raised a son who could eat up his weight in groceries,
Named him after a man of the cloth,
Called him Amos Moses

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
