Super Bug

My wife had an operation a few weeks ago - Brisbane Hospital. Just a fairly simple one - she had a skin cancer in her ear-lobe, so they cut it off and did a skin graft using skin from inside her leg. All seemed to be going reasonably well with that but she had a lot of pain in her back which got steadily worse.

About 3 weeks ago, I called the ambulance and they took her away to hospital. She had the usual set of tests and it was discovered that she had a kidney infection. They put her on antibiotic drip and more tests - no good  - so they changed antibiotic and tried again .... and again ... and again.  She was in hospital for 10 days and eventually they sent her home.

Two days later (last Monday) she was in so much pain that I took her to hospital again.

It seems she has contracted a super bug that none of the antibiotics will kill.

Thank you Brisbane Hospital - she obviously caught it there. So, what we do from here???? It seems it's got the specialists baffled.

Sorry, we can't find that page.

It could be that this page has moved or no longer exists. You can view a current list of brochures by hospital or service using the following links:

No, 'the person who posted the off comment' is a non-believer, so a prayer from him would not be a genuine prayer would it?

Not a non-believer, just not a believer in useless prayers.

Actions speak louder than words and that's how anyone helps themselves or others, by taking affirmative action rather than crying "Poor me, I can't do this"

All the words on this screen amount to nothing. They are too easy to type out, and they are empty.

Emotion wouldn't help Clive's wife either, so I offered something real that could help, money.

Yes, one of my 2 PMs to him of yesterday was asking him to give me his Paypal account ID so I could pay money into it for use as they saw fit (What I called my little get well gift) as I have exchanged PMs with Clive on previous occasions where I learned they struggle to make ends meet, so I figured $500 might make a difference at this time for them.

I didn't state the sum I had in mind though.

He didn't send the info I needed, so I guess he didn't want my offered help, so that's an end of it for me.

As I said, actions speak far louder than words can ever do for me. You lot only employ useless words.

BTW, I don't self report or report anyone else's posts, no matter what is said here, so your suggestion is out.

So you prefer to give his name here on a public forum?

and sometimes all someone needs is a few kind words to raise their spirits. Someone will no doubt report your post as containing personal details.

While they're at it they best report every other post containing a Christian name of other users then. That'd take out a few thousand posts from these boards over the years :^O

You really should learn to connect your thoughts to your fingertips woman :^O

I just prefer to tell the truth of the situation, rather than keep coming out with the sort of uninformed rubbish that you love so much.

No matter what I do or say you'll be sure to jump on it and paint me black, so there's no point in bothering with you.

Funnily enough I never knew Clive's wife's name is Sue until I read it in this very thread :^O

So you best report those posters for using that while you're at it ๐Ÿ˜›

Now I have business to attend to before I have to head off for the weekend again.

The fact is, Sue gave her name herself when she was a poster here, Rabbit does not use his name here, as you would know. If a poster uses their own name that is their prerogative, seriously, there is a reason why we have id's.

I am not interested in painting you black, I do object if I see something objectionable.

I don't have a Christian name.  So I'll be safe.   B-)
