Survival of the fittest.

Can an athiest please tell me why they get upset when someone takes hostages and kills them or when someone like Islamic State beheads children?

I do not understand you .On the one hand you tell me you believe in evolution and survival of the fittest and on the other you get upset when the species does exactly what darwin says it will do.DISCUSS as bob would say.

Re: Survival of the fittest.

No one needs to be religious to have feelings, compassion or respect for others.

More crimes and hatred has come for religion than any other source through out history and always starts when one wants to take control over others because they believe they are the only ones that are right.

As above poster says.

Survival of the fittest taking into account the rules, laws, social mores of the day, otherwise you'd have anarchy.

Hell, if their weren't those, I'd have a field day.

Then you are against darwinian evolution. That says the fittest survive.I want to know how you can believe in evolution and care about the weak.Simple question.

Hang on.Give me your evidence that religion causes crimes against humanity.Stalin was not religious.Neither was pol pot or mao.Ghengis  Khan killed 8% or so of the population. He was not religious.Give me some evidence that religion caused all this.

Well the rules laws social mores of Islamic State say it is ok to behead children. Why are you concerned if they kill kids? They are simply doing what darwin said they would do.Nothing more nor less. Why are you concerned. You seem to want it both ways. You want morals given by God and freedom given by evolution.

Re: Survival of the fittest.

To be honest, I'm not that concerned. It's outside my sphere of influence or affecting me so I tend not to worry too much.

Yes, I do have a lack of empathy, I've been told that before.

I'm would be quite happy to survive by the rule of survival of the fittest, the rules laws social mores of our society

get in the way. In a different environment, I'd act totally different.

The rules laws or mores do not get in my way.

I have already informed,(some 18 months ago) the government via the Minister of Police and the Attorney General that I refuse to follow their laws.

I follow the laws of God.I appear to follow their laws because at present their laws do not conflict with the laws of God.

Howwever if the time comes when their laws conflict with the laws of God then I will not be able to follow their laws and will openly  violate them.If that leads to whatever situation arises then so be it.No matter the outcome or where it leads I will never follow their laws when their laws conflict with God's laws.

As I said at present there is no conflict because their laws do not conflict with God's laws.If they do we will be in opposition and what happens as a result happens.

the only part of darwinian evolution I would like to see is the removal of warning labels to allow natural selection to weed out the stupid people that dont think.
