Sydney school under investigation for locking child with autism in 'sensory room'
did they think banning her from the school would make her go away?
sometimes i just scratch my head in disbelief of what so called intelligent people do.

There are many levels of autism, no doubt some may be a danger to other students in a classroom.

He is very high functioning
Never treated him by locking him in a room when he got fustrated
Do you know why the child in question was locked up, LR?
It's not about your grandson.

Many years ago, I had a regular school run where the passenger liked to pull the upholstery apart. Seats, roof lining, anything he could get hold of.
After running it past his mother and warning him of the consequences (he wasn't as thick as he made out), I restrained him on every trip. Until suddenly he stopped trying to destroy my cab.
Like I said, he wasn't as thick as he tried to make out, but even as a teenager he was trying to play the disability card.
Didn't, doesn't and never will work with me. I know a lot of people with disabilities and I know the ones I have respect for, including my best mate and my partner, don't pull that.
So, I would like to know the full circumstances of this incident before I would even venture an opinion.
