Here we go again.
Now, that we have involved ourselves, yet again, in the further destruction of a country which will result in even more asylum seekers, will we take responsibility for our actions or will we continue to treat those from the Middle East as pariahs? 12,000 Syrian refugees will be a drop in the ocean.

Bombed by their own government, then ISIS, then the USA and now us.
They probably started leaving in droves when the USA started bombing.
Now if Israel got into the picture the whole bloody lot would leave ( especially
any tourists ).
It's a mess that we only have a very narrow view of and one which has provided
a perfect opportunity for criminals and bludgers to get a free pass to a better life.
I feel so sorry for the women, children and elderly.

thank god there are those who are
willing to.
An Australian hornet fighter aircraft destroyed a Daesh armoured personnel carrier with a precision guided missile,โ Mr Andrews said.
โThis is part of our logical extension in the fight against Daesh to operate not just over northern Iraq but also to operate over eastern Syria in order to degrade and destroy the Daesh forces.
The destruction of ISIL targets in Syria and Iraq further limits the group's ability to project terror and conduct operations. Coalition nations which have conducted airstrikes in Iraq include Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Jordan, Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States. Coalition nations which have conducted airstrikes in Syria include Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and the U.S.

Extremism is like a hydra : if you lop off one head, another will grow. How can we participate in the destruction of countries yet baulk at providing refuge for those fleeing from these war torn countries? Do we actually leave these Middle Eastern countries better off? Do we actually crush the extremists? There is propaganda from all sides justying the playing of war games with other people's lives.
For how many decades have the extremist West been trying to obliterate the extreme Middle East? For how many more decades will lives be torn apart or lost? Wars feed the extremists. It turns both sides into terrorists. And, I think that's very sad.
