Budget thread??
Looks more like a back patting, mutual admiration thread ๐
Anyone willing to take a wager? I predict that the NLP will get re-elected at the next federal election. ๐

Seeing as this threads title is 'The Budget' and all new threads invite discussion on the thread, this topic must be allowed to be discussed, otherwise it wouldn't have been started until after 7.30pm this evening.

Poll Crash
Senior Liberals say the federal government is bracing for a backlash when voters see the full scale of cutbacks and broken promises in the budget.

What do you mean by "all new threads invite discussion on the thread"?
Just curious.
Is there something wrong with posting on the first budget thread?
None of us know what's in it until tonight. It's all just speculation at this stage.
And a big celebration with cigars for some

Not monetary wagers LL but something more worthwhile ........ like if you lose you will refrain from mentioning anything even remotely connected with Abbott, Murdoch, politics and the media for a period of 6 months. If I lose then i will do likewise with Unions, Labor, Politics and anything to do with the elected labor government.
Sound fair?

Freaki - What do you mean by "all new threads invite discussion on the thread topic
I tried to edit that but failed.
This thread was started at 8.33am including instructions which allows posters to discuss the Budget only after it is released (11 hrs later).
New threads are started and posters start discussing the topic straight away if they want to, they don't have to wait a specified amount of time before they can start discussing the topic.
Some inclusions in the budget have already been announced. We don't know the start date of changes though.
