Re: THE BUDGET THREAD

Erica, one if my neighbors was telling me yesterday that she rescued a17 YO girl who was standing on the train tracks. I don't know why it is but we seem to have a generation of young people who really feel that they have no hope & don't "fit" anywhere

Six month no income, not even for the basics to survive?

How is a person going to pay rent, buy some food and pay for traveling to look for jobs? Not everyone has a family or parents they can fall back on for help.

Genocide, is all I can think about. If you want people to kill themselves, or die of starvation and exposure to sleeping on the streets,  just take everything away from them for six month. That will lower the unemployment percentage very quick.

Something is going to happen, something nobody expected, and it is not going to be a Rudd - Gillard - Rudd backstabbing scenario. I have a bad feeling about the outcome of this Budget.

People will be forced to resort to stealing in order to survive.

And then I guess the govt will be calling for increases to the numbers of police to help control the inevitable mobs of the starving and the desperate.

Re: THE BUDGET THREAD

Abbott & co are out of touch with reality, they seem to have forgotten that people under 30 can actually vote, and they won't forget these insulting changes. Obviously they're especially out of touch with the younger generation, even the youngins who are in work will be sympathetic to their fellow under 30's because these are like the oldies beating down the younger generation with a big stick.

I doubt the sick people who have to fork out an extra $7 to go to the doctors will forget come election time either, nor the pensioners, but then the govt probably hoping they all died off by then so can't vote Smiley Sad

And what about parents, lets say they have 3 kids, 1 gets sick they usually all get sick, thats $21 more to take them to the doctors, this is like the 'work choices' of 2014 and will see them voted out in 2 years. Lets hope the senate can block it from even getting in first though.

Re: THE BUDGET THREAD

I'm asking, not arguing, do you think people in employment will have sympathy for those in the same age bracket who aren't? Sometimes it seems there is an attitude that you are employed solely through merit so to be unemployed you must be useless. 😞
