THE MELTDOWN by Peter Hartcher, Anybody read it?

just finished this 5 part article on the destruction that Rudd & Gillard did to the Labor party

It's interesting that it was done by the insider Peter Hartcher, the very same person who was in lockstep with Laurie Oakes in delivering all those  leaks for Rudd which  lost them the 2010 election & resulted in the hung parliament.

He was Rudd's pet journalist, the one Rudd used to send all his texts. This from the SMH is interesting. Is Hartcher now finding life a bit hard now he's not being spoon fed from Canberra anymore, the circus of Rudd & Gillard no longer his meal ticket?

I wonder just how hard all the other journalists are  finding it now their party has been removed.

I especially found the Slipper defence by the misogyny speech scenario fascinating.

I find your personal comments on Hartcher convoluted.

It would appear that he was not in fact biased, but told it like it was.

There should be more journalists like him IMO.

I did not say he was biased. He was Kevin Rudds preferred journalist along with Laurie Oakes, both to which he continuously leaked to, in his vendetta against Ms Gillard.

Peter Hartcher is a decent journalist and has always written balanced articles without bias. He is a 'pet' of most journalists seeking fairness in their reporting so not sure why you are making it sound as if he was Rudd personal puppet.

And as to his article - it is simply an account of moments and machinations of a political party. It could be any party really. And everything he has written is public knowledge anyway. I'm not even sure what the issue is with the Slipper comment.

I suspect Hartcher is gearing up for a political book.

Your usual form is to quotes and praise Rupert's tabloid press.
