To all of those in QLD facing floods again good luck. 

140mm in my back yard last night. Roads flooded already and no let up on the near horizon. 

Take care, have your emergency plans ready to enact. 

They are opening up the dam gates down Brisbane way in preparation....

WATER releases from Wivenhoe and North Pine dams will start this afternoon as the State Government takes a "no chances" approach to a heavy rain event in the south-east.

I have family members living  in Gladstone, so I'm keeping a close eye on the forecasts.

So far there are floods from Cairns down to Bundaberg. 

Airports closed, Bruce Hwy has been shut for several days in some places.... 

Going to be a very close call to the 2011 experience for a lot of people. 

I just happened to but a great book on the 2011 floods and have been reading through and remembering.. now I am remembering just a little too well.. lol 

I just managed to get home from work today but am not sure if I will be able to get back to work tomorrow morning..

I have family near Mackay and my grandson's other grandparents are supposed to coming from Townsville tomorrow.

Iza, we are in no danger of flooding here, the worst we will get is a pool and back garden full of mud washing down from the houses above us. I hope your family are ok too.
