Tasmanians Please

We love Tassie and have spent a lot of time there in the last 12 months.

We're going back next year, but what have I missed?

Here are two maps of our visits so far.

Our Tassie Travel Map - A.jpgOur Tassie Travel Map - B.jpg

We don't have a four wheel drive so any gravel roads are out.

So is Lake Peddar.    Going on the Spirit with our own car.

Thanks in advance.

Good evening Stawka.

You haven't missed much if you have been to both.

OH has always wanted to go.

Think too cold for me - I like the warmer climes.

Can you take him - it is only for 10 days.

Evening in my neck of the woods begins at 4pm.

Sun is over the yard arm as it is totally stormy - thunder - grey - but warmish.

You should go with grumpy man.   Last time I was there was

March/April.  Lovely weather.   I also thought it would be too cold.

I was also told to wear a coat to visit Cradle Mountain,  but no, it

was warm there too.  Have I been lucky with the weather?  Maybe.

Same time of year in 2015.??

Have a friend - funnily enough works in our local PO - why I get special treatment ( not only cause I am nice.)

She has been there 3 times this year - looking for a place to retire.

Just loves it down there - perhaps if she does go I would make the effort.

Yep, will be going in April next year.  The motels, I've found, don't

believe in a/c but are big on heaters.  Have been there Nov/December -

would've liked more than a random a/c after a hard day 'touristing'.

I would love to live there, but only have the one daughter,

and four grandkids, all living in Melbourne.

Family kind of narrows the field.

Seen so many retire north to warmer climes only to wonder where the family are.

Young families - school, sport Saturdays, other interests etc.

The retirees sell up & buy - then realise how difficult it is to reconnect with a friend base in a new town - so sell up again to move back.

Expensive & end up with less than they began with.

I don't have that problem - sometimes wish I did - there is only the three of us.
