I dislike tatoos

I disliketatoos on women even more, think they look so yuck and cheap and as a couple of friends of mine say to me it make the women look skanky

and then you have this.. The body mods..... YUCK

What are all these people going to look like when they are 40 and 50 etc......

With tattoos now in the mainstream, some people are discovering new ways to standout from the crowd, pushing their bodies to artistic extremes.

SARAH FERGUSON, PRESENTER: You might think that the craze in body art couldn't get any bigger than it already is, but tattoos have become so common that enthusiasts are searching for ever more outrageous body modifications, as they're known. For example, eyeball tattoos and tongue splits. If you haven't seen one it's worth staying with us, although it's not for the squeamish as our reporter Monique Schafter found.

I was at a family wedding and the bride walked down the aisle, she was beautiful and her white lace strapless dress was stunning. When she passed us we saw she had a huge black chinese dragon tattoo'd down her back.

The tatoo looked like the "Girl with the dragon tatooo".

It was shocking and so out of place in the very expensiove surrounds, venue and wedding party.

I wonder if she will regret that one day. It was a very menacing black tatt, not something you would even assosciate with a beautiful young woman from a wealthy family.

Where does wealth factor in to that?

Well I suppose that a moderate sized but quality tattoo might cost a few thousands, perhaps you need to be wealthy to have one?

Was that the point silverfaun was making?

Personally I don't have them and think you are crazy to get one. But to each their own.

I've seen some fabulous body art. There is a girl who works in Newtown who dresses impeccably (40's/50's styling) who is covered neck to ankles in tattoos. The tattoos are magnificent and suit her perfectly. Everything about her is a head turner.

In terms of finding a job, not all people work in stuffy offices. No-one in a creative industry would care if their employee had tattoos.

No the point was that a trashy tattoo does not belong on an elegant woman of caliber  🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

You can't get more elgant than the woman I see every week in Newtown. She oozes elegance and sensuality.

No.

More like an intricately hennaed mercedes sports hard top circa 1969.

The eye tattoos I find disturbing, but from a medical point of view.

I do not mind tattoos, unless they are designed to be confrontational. If it has a meaning for the tattoo-ed one, then that is nice for them, and if it is a bit different, can be interesting to see.

a lot of people get one without thinking it through, or just to have one, as they are mainstream now. That I think is a shame. Those could be regretted.

I would not get one.

For jobs, even police have them, but they need to be covered on the job now. Sarah Murdoch has them...they are not a job-breaker so much now unless they mean an association that is unlawful, I think 🙂

I just can not see the logic in paying someone to perferate your skin and then rub ink into the wound with all the pain and agony associated with it.

I wonder if it as a "look at me, see I withstood the pain, here is the proof"

Ummm Big Deal!!
