Re: Tattoos and regrets

Many of people have tatts who have never been to prison and most likely never will.  The fact the some prisoners have tatts does not indicate anything.

Re: Tattoos and regrets

Roughly 50%  of prison inmantes have "tatts", which might be indicative of tatooees!.

By your own figure, roughly 50% of prison inmates dont have tatts. Whats that indicative of??

As much as I really hate to repeat myself...some have tattoos done in memory of lost loved ones, They are NOT tacky and one small tatt doesn not = low IQ, how very insulting and lacking in compassion some people are.

People memorialize their lost loved ones in a hundred different ways and I think  it is entirely individual to each person.

I now am seriously thinking of geting  two small paws done in memory of my 2 beloved fur babies   who passed last year and are still so close to my heart.  .  I think that would have a lot of meaning for me.

True AM, but as the percentage of tatooees who are not incarcerated  are around 10%, it might be assumed that those who are are not so "bright" and graffitied,  end up "inside"

Re: Tattoos and regrets

Tattoos = prisoners or armed forces serviceman is a very old attitude from around the1960's. It's 2014 now. If I see a man or woman with a tattoo out & about, I am not going to automatically think..ah.. ex prisoner.

Yeah, boris, tribal tattoos.. both men & women.

Re: Tattoos and regrets

Tattoos are now mainstream...I think anyone who wants one just gets one, but of course, they do have a meaning as a way of bonding or showing an affiliation and have for a long time.

Sarah Murdoch has tattoos, for example ๐Ÿ™‚

3d-leg-tattooThis is an example of a recent body-modification trend. This is not a fake leg, as it may seem at first glance. This was actually done to her own leg. Is it as painful as it looks? Yes. Although, it may not be what you think.

Some of them are not at all pretty
