Thank you Mr Barnett

I'm not a fan of our current State Government, but Ido  believe in giving credit where credit is due and I was delighted to see the above headline in today's paper. It's not a huge offer,  but it's positive, it's proactive and it  makes me feel proud to be a Waussie.

Re: Thank you Mr Barnett

Ummm perhaps 'cause Barnett has nothing what so ever to do with what is happening in Vic re housing the homeless.

In Perth there were cold showers installed which were turned on homeless people who were sleeping in the street .... Says heaps re Barnett

i thought it was about all states when i read this post

Really? If you look again, you'll see the thread title is "Thank You Mr Barnett."

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I often am) , but doesn't She-el mean Colin Barnett the Premier of WA?

New South Wales Premier Mike Baird has left open the possibility of Australia accepting more than 10,000 extra Syrian refugees.

(post 3)

So now we've jumped to NSW?

yes, it was a big jump to NSW from the OP about WA  to NSW in post 3   Woman LOL

Vic is preparing too She-ele, they are thinking of using Point Cook here which was last used to house Kosovo refugees during the 1990's

Maybe they just like agressive young men?

You do love that word aggressive, don't you, Icy. Is it perhaps a euphemism for dermal bone, covered by a thin epidermal layer, and lastly a thick layer of keratinized cells.

Second only to "horny", She-el.

I'm guessing that means horny? I don't think that's what the (aggressive) young men currently invading Europe have in mind.

"I don't know what she said, but whatever she said, I aggree wiff what she said"

Ring a bell?

Re: Thank you Mr Barnett

As I see this thread it was started by a Western Australian poster who has seen what her state is doing to help in this crisis.

I am pretty sure that she is not going to nit pick when people in other states have something to add to the discussion involving efforts in other states to do their bit for the cause.

To me this needs to be an Australia wide effort if we are to make any impact on the problem at all.

It is going to be a rather short thread if the it can only be answered by Waussies because they know what the OP is talking about.

Maybe icy you should look at the bigger picture, not just what the OP says.   If you can't cope with interstate travel leave the thread to those who can.

Actually, the bigger picture is not about 1000 refugees in WA. Maybe you should get that the world doesn't revolve around Australia, Lyndal.

The people (aggressive and horny young men who should be fighting for their country)  flooding Europe would probably find Mr Barnett's offer laughable and throw it off the tracks the way thew out the offer of food and water in Hungary.
