Yep, reminds me of the  CW ... That's it, I am leaving threads...gest a lot of attention, people pleading for them to stay, they leave & few months later they were back anyway.

Unless a post has gone missing, I can't see where Puddles said she would 'miss' posting here. I also don't see her lamenting a lack friends here.

I read her post as meaning there is no fun here anymore. And there isn't when every post is attacked and dissected.

As far as I am aware, this forum is open to any member regardless of how often they post and to whom they post.

But, being trolled does not make one want to post on here either, does it Joz?

Of course this forum is open to anyone. It is also normal for people to be over it, and decide not to come here anymore (without making an announcement). If a person doesn't post here frequently for a very long time, then I don't see why they would complain the forum is no fun. Why don't they post more often themselves and make it fun?

Make your post and put something like

keep smiling things could always be worse 

at the bottom.

that seems to give protection.

Last fun thread Puddles created saw her vanish for months. That is the point, everything is reported whether it is a violation of the rules or not and then left to moderators as to whether an automated slap is issued and in most cases it is.

You cannot create 'fun' threads here if you are being trolled.

I am glad Puddles came to say why she may vanish. I would have wondered why she no longer posted. So, in my opinion, there is a valid reason to come here to post about it. I hope she changes her mind!

Exactly, and even if it wasn't valid (not sure what defines valid on public forum) no one had

to come in and read if they didn't want to.

Sometimes the most inane threads turn real nasty real quick and it's hard to pick which one's you are going to take a risk and comment on :^O

I do wonder why people announce they are leaving and not coming back though (especialy when they haven't even posted here regularly for a long time). There is nothing wrong with that thought/opinion and I am entitled to make it.

There have been lots of others who have given up posting here over the years, they never felt the need to make announcements about it.

Threads like this aren't going to change anything.
