That Eric Abetz is a bit of a nasty isn't he?

I've never really paid much attention to him but am watching him on Q&A tonight.

He's about as interesting to listen to as a dripping tap. But what he says (or fails to say over and over) is just garbage.

He knows nothing and is downright rude.

Re: That Eric Abetz is a bit of a nasty isn't he?

this is him recently

We risk seeing something akin to the wages explosion of the pre-accord era when unsustainable wage growth simply pushed thousands of Australians out of work.

Eric Abetz

this is reality

But economists say that although some sectors of the economy may have high wages relative to productivity, Australia is not facing a wages breakout.

Steven Walters, a chief economist with JP Morgan, says claims of a wage explosion are "a bit of a stretch".

He says wages growth is the lowest it has ever been.

"We've only got comparable series back to about the late 1990s and in fact wages growth [over the past year] is the lowest we've ever seen in that period," he said.

"So the increase in nominal wages over the last 12 months is only 2.7 per cent, whereas comparing that just to say five years ago heading into the global financial crisis, wages growth was well above 4 per cent.

Everything he said tonight was garbage and out and out lies.

Maybe he believes his own (and his Party's) lies. Either way, the fact that he repeats them shows how little intelligence he has.

So why not just come out and say it.

All this fluffing around and secrecy is ridiculous.

And how much tax payers money are they going to spend on reviews and commissions when they ALREADY know what they are planning to do?

I've never really taken much notice of him. But I was astounded at his responses tonight.

Mega loser.

And his official photo on the Party website is from AT LEAST 15 years ago.

Abetz is the great-nephew of SS-Brigadeführer Otto Abetz, Nazi German ambassador to Vichy France from 1940 to 1944.
