WELL Done to the LNP cleaning up the massive mess left by Labor and the Greens.

Tomorrow marks 100 days since the election.

I want to update you on the progress that the Coalition Government has made in implementing our Plan to build a strong, prosperous economy and a safe, secure Australia.

We are purposefully, carefully and methodically putting in place policies to help families by reducing their cost-of-living pressures, improving job security, encouraging small business and delivering better services.

As you will see, the Government is keeping its commitments and implementing the plan we took to the election.

We are the Government that will scrap the Carbon Tax, end the waste, get the Budget back under control, stop the boats and build the infrastructure of the 21st century.

These are the practical measures that will help our country get ahead – as well as help you and your family plan your future with confidence.

My pledge is that we will not let up in 2014: every day we will keep building the stronger country that all Australians want and deserve.

Not really.

More disappointed.

Like giving your kids the chance to be an adult by letting them stay home without a babysittter and they end up burning the house down.

This government has given me so many laughs........hockey daring Holden  to leave....and hahahahaha they did?

You cannot write that stuff, it's almost like frontline..

Now any Australian can hold  their child and say 'Look at these clowns in the LNP . one day you too can be the leader of this country! Matter of fact, your 6 years old, you could do a better job Now!'

Scrap all middle class welfare. I don't want to be responsible for forking out for other peoples babies & then forking out again to get them minded then forking out again to send them to school, does it ever end.

If you want to have children make sure you can afford to & to  look after them properly. The public nipple is drying up & all the lefterds are squealing that they may have some of their FREE money cut back! so what!  get over yourselves & take responsibility for your own decisions in life.

If the government would "Scrap all middle class welfare', it would mean that people would not be spending.  Which in turn would mean retail businesses would suffer.  Children are the future, if people would not have kids, or could not educate them, Australia would have no future.   But then again we could just let all the boat people in .......... Why breed our own when we have so many willing to come from other countries?  You may have something there.

Of course, there is an alternative, basic wage would have to be increased to such a level that people do not need government help.

Absolute rubbish. Historically Australians reared & educated their children with only the "endowment" that was a pittance. The trouble with this country is the mindset of "entitlement".

All this hollow argument using "children & education" to further the need for hand outs is a leftist argument,   if you disagree then you are against "children & education".

Take responsibilty for your decisions in life. Take responsibility to rear & educate your own children without whinging & holding out your hand for other peoples (taxpayers) money.

This is a disgraceful argument & one the forefathers mothers of our nation would be ashamed of. They did it on their own & built a nation whilst doing it. They never begged for money, never debased themselves for charity but it seems the entitlement is ingrained & put there by sucessive governments buying votes.

Re: The First 100 Days of Government WELL done to the LNP

Aren't most parents taxypayers? They are contributing to the tax pool the Govt collects. So they get some of it back in family assistance payments?

A single person on $50 000 p.a

A family of 5 (2 parents, 3 children) on $50 000 p.a.

Which one would benefit most receiving Govt assistance?

Yes back in the day.

Using the past and a time where finance was difeferent to try and make some sort of point.

You do realise inflation and the cost of everything has changed since the victorian era?
