lol
used to purposely jag mullet in the swan river. richo, using a three way hook and a light sinker, coz theyre hard to catch.
when you see them on the run its mobs of fun
lot of striking with the rod, but it was the only way to get a decent sized mullet coz they banned throw nets

Joe-have memories of fishing in the Swan.
Riding the treadlie from Wembley and fishing near the old brewery
below kings park--that was about the late 1950s.
Never caught anything lol.
Prawning with my older brother at night-was more productive..........Richo.

used to drag net for prawns near the canning bridge (forget the name of pub near by too)
did well
& the swan brewery was one of my favorite sites for fishing
none are anymore really, lol, coz its hard to catch anything without using live mullet
and theyve banned throw nets.. i used to use to catch 'em with
unless i want to spin a lure, next best thing to a livie
