Has anyone seen the movie? I'm hearing good reports
about it and the previews look good.
I had read the book but it bored me witless and I couldn't imagine a movie - but am thinking I might go now.

Thanks lurker, I read that. Very interesting. I might just wait till it's on DVD and then be able to watch it a few times to see if I 'get it'. Probably a bit too deep to see just once. 🙂

I just got home from seeing Life of Pi. Really enjoyed it, and my fears were not warranted. It is very true to the book. The 3D effects were fantastic! I nearly went through the roof when Richard Parker jumped out :^O
I was a bit worried about the little kids that were in the theatre though. I'm not sure what they would have made of some of the early scenes on the liferaft.

I saw it recently too (in 3D) and quite enjoyed it, quite confronting at times. I've never read the book though.

Please go and see the movie while you can, especially in 3-D. It's just beautiful, both the stunning scenery and visual effects but the story also. It has a sad twist at the end. It's simply wonderful. The story is nothing like the Jungle Book. There is lots of humour, as well as surprises and tragedy, it is appealing to any age. Wonderful acting. Gerard Depardieu like you've never seen him before.

Gerard Depardieu like you've never seen him before.
Do you mean that literally or figuratively? :^O Or I suppose you could mean both 😉
There, that aughta intrigue them into going B-)
