Hi Dixo, her eyelid had been sore yesterday, but when she got up this morning it was extremely swollen. Apparently it's called a chalazion, which occurs from an enlarged gland. His expert advice was to apply hot and cold compress alternatively. And it should disappear by itself.
Your invoice idea sounds good Dixo, it would be interesting to see their reaction.
I should have gone to our friendly pharmacist for advice, the service would have been a lot better in hindsight...
Years ago when our youngest's asthma was really bad,and she was on the ventolin inhaler constantly, our pharmacist advised us to get her to the doctors asap and get a script for the nebuliser ampoules. By the time we got to the dr her breathing was terrible, and the nurse took us aside immediately and put her on the nebuliser. Dr came in and said come down when you are finished. Once in with the dr he then proceeded to tell me her breathing was ok. Uh hello, obviously the nebuliser had eased it. But he refused to give me a script for the ampoules. Pharmacist was horrified that I had been refused a script.
Next morning after a frightening sleepless night for both of us, I rang the clinic for an emergency appointment. Had to tell a different dr that I was not leaving unless I had the script, and that I wouldnt be paying for the extra appointment. Put the script in with the pharmacist who was angry on my behalf at the lengths I had to go for the script.
Amazing how quickly her asthma was back under control once she was on the pump for 1-2 days.
So yay to you for being lucky enought to have two pharmacists in the family.
