As an antidote to all the "alert and alarmed" threads on here at the moment i thught it might be nice to have a Random Acts Of Kindness thread.
How about over the next week each of us tries to perform one random act of kindness and post it on here to encourage others to do the same.
RULES: no kudoes or virtual pats on the back (this isn't a competition or 'look at me' thread).Suggestions or thoughtful comments pertaining to the posts are OK.

My neighbour trimmed my topiary trees today while I was out 🙂 He won't admit he did though.

I think everyone who funds Kiva Loans is doing a random act of kindness, it's awesome to think how many lives may have been changed by those loans.
And please, folks, the rules do say no kudos, so if you feel you absolutely MUST kudo someone's kind deed, could you please kudo ALL of them.

I came out of a shop today closing my purse, in a hurry. As I walked on a bit someone called me and i saw two
young women behind me gesturing to me and waving a $10 note. they said I had dropped it. It made my day. Not the money but
how sweet and honest they were.

Good point She_el but it's something that makes you feel better about yourself, as are all good deeds paid forward.
Everyone feels better, but especially the giver. It enlivens you to know that you are helping someone.

I've got one up my sleeve, but it will take some doing.
And I'll be clear, my random act of kindness won't involve skimming 30% off the top.

i kudo'd all of them,because they deserve it,and i missed that rule on first read,sorry,she-el ! 🙂

my friend stafford took me out to run errands today, one of which was to turn in my change for deposit at the bank.
we stopped to get some juice at a store beforehand, and there was a lady there with her 3 kids buying bread and milk and eggs and counting out change to do it. she was telling the kids she couldn't afford anything else for supper until she got paid, and all 3 kids apologised to her for asking for bacon.
i was so impressed with those kids!! so i quietly gave the oldest child my bag of change(10 bucks or so,i didn't have any paper cash) and told him to give it to mom after i left. he smiled and thanked me like a perfect young gentleman, and i told him to do something nice for someone else. he said he would, and i believe him.
that was my random act of kindness for today. i think i'm going to try to keep this up,as best i can. the smile on that boy's face was all i need. 🙂

I uasally try to stay away from people as much as possible and consider that my act of kindness to them. However, there are things I learn about that for lack of a better discription, blow me away. This might be a case of no good deed going unpunnished and i hope others in the same line of work see this and decide to do the right thing even if it costs them their jobs.

Theres so many videos on that and i'm not able to see them right now due to weak internet, so I just put up the ones that look most relivant. The thing about America for those who don't know, is you just don't expect to see this,it's unheard of. I don't mean someone losing their job over a disagreement with a manager, thats commonplace, I mean like a cop behaving like this. Most would expect other cops to join in on the beating without a question of right or wrong like in the case of Kelly Thomas. Thats what one would expect. I want to see this as a commonplace thing, but know better than that

excuse me joani, but this isn't a cop bashing thread, nor is it a thread to bash your fellow americans.
your videos aren't about a random act of kindness, please don't ruin this thread. please.
create your own thread,if you can't post a random act of kindness done for you,or that you did,PLEASE!
*sorry if i offended anyone here,or if i'm interffering,i just don't want to see this thread be ruined*
