We found the answers to these puzzling queries in a comprehensive survey of 2.5 million dogs and cats conducted in the US state of Oregon, Discovery News reports.
Portland's Banfield Pet Hospital tallied the top names from 2012 and came up with 10 most popular monikers for our most popular family pets.

OH always says if we got a dog it would be a German Shepherd and he would call it Schultz. We would also get a ginger tabby cat and call it Ranga.

Met a duck called Geoff, once.
Asked the girl why she had named her duck Geoff, she said she names every male pet Geoff, it's her favourite name and when she has a boy child he will be called Geoff as well :^O

That reminds me of a poster over from the USA board, tomsecretuseid or something like that. Anyone remember her?
She had a duck called Quackers. That name tickled me no end.
Apparently it followed her home and stayed forever after
