QUESTION one: Why must people give their pets human names?
Question two: Which Twilight character is top dog?
Question three: Twilight. Really?
We found the answers to these puzzling queries in a comprehensive survey of 2.5 million dogs and cats conducted in the US state of Oregon, Discovery News reports.
Portland's Banfield Pet Hospital tallied the top names from 2012 and came up with 10 most popular monikers for our most popular family pets.
[Enough. Take me to the list. Now.]
OH always says if we got a dog it would be a German Shepherd and he would call it Schultz. We would also get a ginger tabby cat and call it Ranga.

We have a Jungle Book name here too She_el. Baloo is my dog's name.
Before him we had a Buzz after Buzz Lightyear because before him we had a Woody. Woody wasn't named after Toy Story though. We had him prior to that movie.
I also have a cat called Fishbait.

Years ago when my 2 grandsons were little, we went to see a movie called "Napoleon". I was about a little pup that set out to conquer the world.
Afterward we happened past a pet shop and the boys wanted to go inside and pet the puppies in the window. There about 4 little brown and white fox terriers playing around, and one little black and tan mini pinscher belly up fast asleep.
"Would you like to cuddle one"? the cunning pet shop lady said. She took out the little black and tan one. They must have wanted to sell it first, lol.
$200 later we took it home and it lived with us for the next 16 years.
We were going to call it Napoleon, but then we realised it was a girl so we named her Josephine but mostly called her, and she answered to, "little dog".
Best dog there ever was. She thought she was a Dobermann lol.

Mums 17yo mini foxie is called Nessie, when she was a pup she could stretch her neck quite long and Ruffles (cause we brought him home in a Ruffles chip box) thought she was a monster.... so Nessie short for Loch Ness Monster. Ruffles died about 5 years ago.
My dog is called Maggie, I just liked the name and it seemed to suit her.
Lily my parents other dog, a spoodle cross. But she looks like a small fat golden retriver. She was called Lily due to the fact her mum is named Daisy. Mum and I actually got to watch Lily being born with her 6 other siblings. Daisy is owned by my mums bestie.
