Taliban threatens Nobel laureate Malala

A POWERFUL breakaway faction of the Pakistani Taliban threatened teenage education activist Malala Yousafzai with "sharp and shiny knives", hours after she was declared joint winner of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize.

JAMAAT ul Ahrar, which in August separated from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) also known as the Pakistani Taliban - posted its response to the win on Twitter late Saturday.

"Characters like Malala should know that we are not deterred by propaganda of [non-believers]. We have prepared sharp and shiny knives for the enemy of Islam," tweeted spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan.

"Malala speaks so much against guns and armed conflicts. Does she not know that the founder of her recent Nobel award was the inventor of explosives," the spokesman said.

Malala, a 17-year-old education activist, survived a gunshot wound to the head by a Taliban gunman in 2012.

The mainstream TTP, an umbrella organisation of over a dozen groups, has not commented on Malala's accolade.

Malala has received praise in Pakistan for becoming the youngest-ever Nobel Peace laureate, with all major newspapers running front page stories on her achievement.

What you call bogus, some call normal here. Don't post along the lines, you're out. Have an opinion? How dare you!

I did laugh though.

not sure what's to laugh at?

It wouldn't be normal for me to make a statement like that, in those words, if I did, I would think I would remember it.

However, if Bush doesn't choose to back up her claim with more info/screen shot/date/? I can only assume she has another agenda.

I think everyone should have an opinion and share it, if they choose to.

Really? Because self reporting has become the new posting.

The taking of screenshots. I don't have that much time on my hands. Who does in the non forum world?

Self reporting? if you say so..... although it would take a while. Posters often talk about screen shots, I have never done them................ no idea how.

If you have any light to shed on this, feel free, (Bush needs some verification), but I am off to bed, goodnight.

"The Quran as we know it today is in reality two quite different books. The older Quran was written in Mecca while the later Quran was written in Medina . . . .

A majority of the Surah in the Quran were written in Mecca with the rest written in Medina. The problem is that the Surah in the Quran are not placed in chronological order, but are ordered as shown here, along with the city of origin of each Surah. . . .

The Mecca Quran was all about tolerance, tranquility, spirituality, acceptance, and inner cleansing through submission to the word of Allah. . . .

With time, Muhammad became more vocal as he was probably very frustrated that so few were willing to accept his preaching of Allah. This lead to his being forcefully requested to depart Mecca. So, he and his core converts to Islam made their way to Medina. . . .

in Medina, Muhammad no longer had the clan and tribal support and was on his own. This harder reality affected his writings, which became more assertive and violent. The importance here is that Muhammad ruled that if a later Surah contradicted a previous Surah, then the most recent and newer Surah was the true word of Allah. This is why figuring out the chronological order of the Surah is so essential to understanding Islam. It is also why one must read the whole Quran and not listen and decide matters only on quotes of individual Surah."

And yes, I shamefacedly  copied and pasted an article (in part, moreover) which I researched and for which I give the link to above.

My point here is that to debate such issues, it is important to do some background reading.

THE INSANITY OF ISLAM

A female fruit picker in Pakistan last week lost her appeal against a death sentence for blasphemy. Asia Bibi had taken a drink of water from a well during the heat of the day but had inadvertently used a cup that was reserved for Muslim women.

Asia Bibi, a farm worker from rural Punjab, is a minority Christian in 97 per cent Muslim Pakistan.

A Christian by law must not eat or drink from the same utensil, as food and water becomes instantly “unclean”.

Once her mistake was discovered she was beaten unconscious. When she came to, she is alleged to have uttered the words, “Jesus Christ might have a different view of that law”.

She was beaten again and the angry mob then went to her house and beat her husband and children before reporting her to authorities for having committed blasphemy against the prophet Mohammed.

Battered and bruised, Asia was then dragged before the local Imam who told her the only way she could redeem herself was to immediately convert to Islam. “Otherwise”, he said, “you will face death”.

In November of 2010 Asia was sentenced to death by hanging in a Sharia law court, where judges and lawyers are too afraid to acquit or defend any alleged offender. She has been kept in jail under the worst conditions imaginable for the past four years.

After the loss of her appeal she now awaits the hangman and has described her past four years as “mental torture”.

Under its interpretation of Shariah Law, Pakistan carries an automatic death penalty for “blasphemy” but the accused are often lynched or languish in jail for years without trial because lawyers are too afraid to defend them.

Judges have been attacked for acquitting defendants of “blasphemy” charges and two politicians who openly discussed reforming the law have been murdered.

A lone supporter of Asia, Pakistani Minister of Minority (Christian) Affairs, Shahbaz Bhatti pictured right, was later murdered. He is seen here with Asia’s family.

Islam continues to permeate and suffocate Western cultures with its sub-human Shariah Law.

The UK and other Euro countries have allowed the establishment of separate law courts to legally administer Shariah.

There is a push for the same Shariah Law structure here.

But I have a premonition things are about to change, at least in Australia.

There is a strong undercurrent of feeling that we have finally had enough of this insane cult

Sharia law in the UK is mainly to deal with wills isn't it?

Nicola Roxen said "no" to sharia law here a couple of years ago. I seriously cannot imagine our govt. ( either party) saying yes.

Try googling sharia law in Australia, there are plenty of articles to read other than the Murdoch press usual rags trying to cause hysteria
