Just went up the street to get some eggs for Sunday morning brekky.
The fine aromas from the several street cafe's along the street - raisin toast, newly baked bread, fresh brewed coffee - made it mighty goof to be alive on this bright and sunny Sunday morning.

I might even go nuts this morning and bake a cake. Just to keep the aroma happening!

Morning Icyfroth. You reminded me of a while back when I was lined up at a Coles checkout and noticed a lady with a carton of eggs at another check out in her pj's. I'm thinking of baking a cake too. Want to check out my new oven as I'm not sure it's working
corrrectly due to uneven cooking.

hahaaa yeah that'd be me.
Except I was in my old round the house trackie daks, old jumper and a hoodie embroidered with cannabis leaves which I'd mistaken for a floral pattern until my grandson pointed it out lol.

My daughter forbade me to wear it anytime I visited her.
Seems I'm under attack from both sides of the generational divide 😞
so now I just wear it around the house.

The smell of Sunday morning--is from the surrounding-Loy Yang-Yallourn-Morwell
open cut coal mines and power stations-mixed in with the chemicals
from a very large paper mill....cough ..splutter............Richo.
ps-you get used to it...after many years.

Wow Richo, yeah I understand this is what many Aussies wake up to, unbeknown to us city folk.

I woke up to the smell of rotten eggs, either from Rotorua down the road or White Island, you do get used to it after a while.
One thing it was a beautiful sunny day with the promise of Spring around the corner.
