Can't find a thread so thought I would start one...
OMG.. Ricky Martin... Joel Madden... heaven in a show...
First song that they sing together (all 4 judges) and it was sensational...

Who cares if it is rigged... we all know it is about ratings....
I have enjoyed it 100% so far...

What about Guy Sebastian, Damien Leath, Jessica Mauboy, Shannon Noll, Stan Walker, Wes Carr, ummm the young aboriginal singer I can't think of her name.
They have all done OK for themselves.

Damien Leith went broke after the first album after Idol,
From News.com.au: AUSTRALIAN Idol survivor Damien Leith sold more than $5 million worth of records when he won the 2006 crown but had to sell his car to pay the rent.
The Idol deal meant that he received no royalties from album sales..
Casey Donovan hasn't done anything much after getting dropped from Sony/BMG
"The official reason she was given was [because] of their extensive Australian roster, they didn't feel they had the time [for her].
"I think she got railroaded."
A tentative plan had been put in place for Donovan's next album, but her appearance outside a Sydney court (while placing a restraining order on her father) earlier this year is said to have influenced the record company's call.
"She certainly doesn't fit their image, put it that way," the family friend added. But he said it was family issues, rather than any concerns about Donovan's physical appearance, that affected the record company's decision.
As for Wes Carr: Fed up with Sony's poptacular demands, he left the bigwigs in 2011 and is now releasing music independently. But without their support, his August 2012 EP, Blood & Bone, didn't even rate on the ARIA charts.
Publicity can only get you so far unless you have the talent to back it up
Companies behind shows like The Voice and Idol are only interested in how much money they can make from churning out new pop stars every year

Casey Donovan has done heaps, she's done musicals, lots of charity performances, clubs and the like, google her.
Damien Leith, ask Braff how hard he works, she will soon tell you about his involvement in the music industry.
Because they are not in the limelight every day doesn't mean they are not making a good living from their talent.
