Speaking of Shane can someone explain to me, in his final scene. It seems like he was "turning" but I don't remember him being bitten. Why's that?

Yes he was turning because he'd been killed by Rick and as per what the doctor at the CDC told Rick once people die you turn unless you've been shot/stabbed in the head.

Doesn't matter how you die, and you don't necessarily have to have been bitten by a walker. Anyone who dies since all this started turns into a walker regardless.

Shane had 'turned' and was after Rick but Carl shot him in the head and killed him once and for all.

If you can't remember the Doc at the CDC telling Rick this it was because he'd whispered it to him not long before the CDC blew into kingdom come. Rick didn't tell anyone until later in Season 2.

(my daughter told me about this series a month or so ago and loaned me all her DVDs and I've been catching up on the show and am quite addicted.)

Well I knew he would turn once he was killed by Rick. but I remembered he was getting flashes like he is turning even before he was really killed. Maybe my memory fails me.

My personal opinion is that Shane went a little loco after he'd injured and left that farmguy for dead when they had raided the FEMA hut for medical supplies needed to save Carls life.

Seems to me after that happened, and finding out that Laurie was pregnant he started resenting Rick and just went a bit loopy. As evident when he let all the walkers out of the barn that time.

Nah, had nothing to do with Otis, Shane had gotten used to being the big man in camp, fancied him and Lori playing happy familys with Carl and with Rick back from his coma, it was obvious Lori would go back to Rick. Shane had become resentful of Rick long before they got to the farm, remember Dale catching him lining up Rick with the rifle in the bush? All that was intensified when he found out about the baby, figured it was his. Im surprised Rick had the balls to kill Shane first.

I thought Carol is much too old for Darryl. Everyone loves Bob. Which one's bob again? I forget who sasha is as well. 

I like maggie. She's hot.

I just thought the pressure he was getting from the others about Otis got to him a bit. but he was mainly losing it over Laurie and Rick I agree

Season 4 is sooooo sad!!

- why dont they all walk around with armless walkers like Michonne does? that keeps the other walkers away.
