The attraction of Tony Abbott

The reason why Tony Abbott will pull off the election of a generation is because he has drawn Australians back to the sensible centre of politics.

He is also only the 2nd opposition leader who narrowly won then lost  an election then led the party to a win the 2nd time.

Labor has lost all the so Called blue collar Howard battlers, the backbone of Labor voters & they have also lost the so called inner city latte voters who have deserted Labor for the Greens.

Abbott is now in the position of having to outline how he will manage the economy after he inherits  an economic landscape devastated by Labor,  littered with unexploded mines while Rudd has said little of substance running a dishonest scare campaign.

When all else fails for Labor we are confronted with  the re emergence of the misogyny wars after the demise of Julia Gillard. The outcry of the "sex appeal" by the elitists has backfired & gifted Fiona Scott the prize seat of Lindsey seeing the exit of David Bradbury. A innocent remarf blown up out of all proportion is just he type of thing fair dunkum Australians see nothing wrong with & are fed up with the interference & PC of a meddling government.

We are then presented with a PM who has the ability to lie to Australians by manipulating the crisis in Syria for political gain & expecting Australians to swallow it. He expects us to fall for the  staged photo op in Canberra with no minister for defence or any high level advisers, this done because the cooking show was leaked.

The straight talking honest campaign speech Tony Abbott delivered yesterday was the lifeline Australia needs, no grand cash splashes, no verbose overblown rhetoric we are so used to from Rudd & even worse under Gillard, no repetitive "moving forward or  A new Way " rote Australians were subjected to all the while seeing through it.

Australians will reject Rudd, the sophist, & it's not just the flick of the hair, the lick of the lips, it's his ability to lie with a straight face.

This election can be compared to watching a horse race with Black Cavier in it & Labor hoping she can't win.

I want the truth and I want to know why it is that our news media isn't telling us about the Legal matters which currently relate to Tony Abbott ...an MP who is very soon to stand for Federal election .He could be our next PM ...this isn't a joke...what now seems even more obvious and more of a joke is the imbalance of media attention ..

Finger pointing, accusations and comments that such and such said that Julia Gillard being investigated ....over and over and over

Where is our news about Tony Abbott's legal matter ?

That doesn't matter ,we don't need to know ..because it's ...Tony Abbott ????? OMG ...I'd laugh if this wasn't so important

Is this the same legal matter you keep referring to that Monman has responded to and clarified more than once?

Your outrage over allegations against Abbott after we have been subjected to the activities of Ms Gillard's lover & associates. She is still under investigation for her part in it.

Your banging on about this slur campaign run by the twitterati has been dealt with, no action taken, why? because there was nothing to report. If there was anything to report don't think the gutter press would't splash it everywhere, especially now, at this time.

I feel sorry for your outrage & disheartened position but trying to put a smear on Abbott that NO ONE will touch because they could & would probably be sued is a lost cause..

If you feel you have a case put it as Miss Gillard was so fond of saying, but you should err on the side of caution imo.

Don't take offence as I am only trying to point out very salient points & legalities.

No, he did not.    It was in reference to jumping the queue by arriving  here by boat (via "back door" to be more specific)

Julia Gillard had a similar view:

As Prime Minister I won't tolerate people smugglers attempting to bend and break the will of the Government to protect our borders and also our will to do the right thing as a country and to provide safe haven for those in need," Ms Gillard warned.

"I want to be very clear about this: under this arrangement if someone seeks to come to Australia they are at risk of going to Malaysia and going to the back of the queue.

"This won't be the last step, but it is a big step.

"Don't get on that boat, what it will mean is you have given your money to people smugglers, you have risked your life at sea and you will be at real risk of ending up in Malaysia instead."

you obviously think you are entitled to free speech by keep on bringing it to people's attention on a public forum.

aren't you afraid someone is going to prevent you from doing that?

Meep,  I did say ABOUT 20% of the population was the same religion at Tony Abbots.

Just to get things into perspective......the actual figures are Catholic 25.3% - No religion 22.3%.
