Malcolm Turbull said Verizon are not rolling out Fibre to the premises any more. It seems he is wrong about that.

 

Ignoring the fact that the video is a Verizon ad, it is a good explanation of why FTTP is the way our NBN should continue in its current form.

I started this thread because the youtube video explains the FTTP technology that our NBN is using.

After that someone shared the Broadbank Communities magazine with me.

This edition features the Australian NBN.

Think future application; for example, hitting us now as 4K television - makes 1080P full HD sets sooo yesterday, but requires bandwidth and speed, terrestrial TV as we know it under DVB-MPEG2 probably can't cope - hence 'wired' is the future.

 

Btw I'm not Labor this time owing other issues, but much prefer Labors NBN for its future proofing potential.
