Words fail me.
The case of incest and depravity which came to rest in the hills of a quiet country town
IT is a case of shocking depravity which came to rest in the hills surrounding a picturesque farming community nestled in a valley southwest of Sydney.
Unknown to the 2000 citizens of the town in a fertile valley amid the south-western slopes of NSW, a dark family secret was unravelling.
Now it can be revealed, not only could the case of the Colt family be the nation's most appalling saga of child abuse, it is among one of the worst accounts of incest ever made public.
The NSW Children's Court has taken the rare step of publishing its judgment of actions taken to remove children from the Colt family (a court-appointed pseudonym to protect identification of minors).
Four generations of intimate relations among the Colts had taken place in South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia and finally come to NSW

What a pathetic response to such a terrible case of child abuse.
how long have you waited for that opportunity ?
of course its terrible. my response to my dear friend the OP makes no difference either way.
I have no idea what you mean by me waiting for the opportunity and as your response was for the OP maybe you should have made that a lot clearer.
I don't know you and I don't know the OP, all I can see is a pathetic comment by you.
Please don't trun this into a political thread, it has nothing to do with politics and a lot of posters are not mixed up in or know anthing about the ongoing squabbles between some posters and they don't want to become involved..

Op, is it the incest which horrifies you, or the primitive living conditions? Just curious.
This is far worse IMO.

Yes, it's horrifying. Like something from the dark ages. But more common than people realise, I guess. When we lived in a rural area for a few years when I was a school-child, at least two little girls were subject to the same home environment. And almost every second family had its living proof of same in the form of mentally challenged (is that the PC term now?) child or adult

OK, you have answered post 14. it's the incest. There are many populations in which incest is the norm, some of which are very close to our shores, and there are varying degrees of incest throughout the world. This incidence has horrified you because it does not comply with the laws of the country, in which the state controls fertility. And there are good reasons for these laws, of course.
But I repeat, the link I gave in post 14 is much worse, and those children are damaged for ever.

I can't agree that it is worse than the OP content. These children "can't" recover from this. Generations of incest and depravity, ...............
