Initially I thought real degrees were being sold, by the Uni(s), until I read the article. With forged degrees on sale it is crucial to check the qualification with the institution before hiring anyone. Forged degrees have been around a long time. People can overstate or lie about qualifications in their CV without having the documents, too. A concern is that the real degrees are tarnished by a scandal, when it has nothing to do with the Unis. But yes, it's outrageous.

Yes, forged degrees have been around, but not to the quantity as this mob has shown. They openly advertise on Chinese channels and get away with it.
How many millions are they raking in and how many fake medical students, accountants and lawyers are practicing without problems?
I hope that this problem will be solved soon.

I've actually seen a degree from an Indian university where the student graduated, but on the degree it actually had printed on it .. "FAILED" ... apparently, the policy was that if the student actually attended all the lectures, did all the exams, but failed, the degree was still issued ..... (that was many years ago, hopefully, that wouldn't happen now).
