So Peter Garrett sending the then PM Mr Rudd 10 letters re this disaster that went unanswered means nothing? Mr Rudd has a lot to answer for. Peter Garrett, according to several reports, felt very let down by the then PM and came to hate the man.

The contractors where employed by the then government. If I employed a company that was irresponsible in some way it would come back to me as the initial responsible party.

As if the families haven't been through enough. There have been multiple coroner's enquiries into this and yes it was a tragedy. But it was the contractors at fault for not ensuring safety on their sites and they have been prosecuted. The government also implemented all recommendations issued by the coroner.

This is diversion on TA's part to distract from his already shambolic behaviour. No thought for the families, no thought for the millions it will cost. Just another way for him to keep attacking labour.

Agree that K Rudd was irresponsible. Previous coronial enquiries addressed all these issues. What does he hope to achieve by instigating another one?
