Tax cuts for all but if you read the whole story low and middle income earners will pay more tax in three years time.
I have a perfect tax minimisation plan. Death, hopefully instigating asap

Cut it out Icey - it's very apparent someone is hurting here.

In small towns you always get a few power-hungry people who have to run things and ruin it for everyone else. Our local op shop is run by a woman who loves power but hates the op shop and wouldn't run it if she had a choice, but she'd lose her little fan club if she said what she thinks so she just takes the glory and expects everyone else to do the work. None of them can agree on anything and they won't stand up to the bullies because they're worried they might take their rubbish elsewhere. I did 15 hours a week there for a while and doubled their takings but the woman in charge sat there at their meeting and said in front of everyone how gracious they were to allow me to work for them. I was glad to be out of the place!

The next nearest town has a Men's Shed and while I don't know what they're like, a friend of mine in Qld goes to one and says they have quite a few activities, which you don't have to participate in. Men tend to live and let live so I think that sort of thing would be good for a lot of men, but if they had the same thing for women a few would want to run it and push everyone else around.

My problem is the doctors won't believe there's anything wrong with me. Centrelink pretended to believe me but still said I was capable of 30 hours a week. I might have had a chance of getting better if they hadn't had me running around so much I didn't get a chance to rest and recover. I live on a lot less than what newstart pays but at least I got rid of the stress they caused me and I can work at my own pace.

Yep, I have a new keyboard with the same problem, hit one key and it sets off two or three, most annoying.  Anyone can see that the U is right next to  I.

You're right, Dom, it's petty of me.  My apologies to Martin.

Brerrabbit, Coleraine has a men's shed but I'm not old enough to make attending worth it for my mutual obligation and I am flat out most of the year cutting grass with an acre.
My school crossing work when I get it is ten hours a week and I have to do fifteen for mutual obligation.
I'm kind of lucky that my heart attack and associated heart disease with diabetes is acknowledged by Centrelink but it's the chronic arthritis that is kicking my bum so to speak.
Always a joy at this time of year

I was only talking about the Men's Shed as a social thing, nothing to do with Centrelink.

Have you ever complained to DEET about how your job provider expects you to travel so far for so few hours? The older, more experienced staff seem to know they can be flexible with the rules but the young ones act like your payments are coming out of their own pocket.  One woman at St Laurence that I was stuck with was completely inflexible but a couple of times when I spoke to c/l about them I was told to complain to DEET. I never did but if I go back to c/l before I'm old enough for the pension I'll definitely stand up to them next time.

sorry to hear that things  have been so tough for you Martin... not much I can say except that I hope  it gets better...  that situation about the community driving and age is just ridiculous, as a lot of things are ...   try not to let it get you down too much
