The new Prime Minister thread

I already have a few issues about our soon to be new PM and I notice a few threads have already been started about Abbott.

But (my opinion is that) Labor supporters are more sensible about keeping the boards free of spam and the repetitive nonsense that we have seen over the last year or so from our right winged friends.

So can I suggest we keep all our Liberal Party opinions confined to one thread?

Unless he does something SERIOUSLY stupid enough to warrant it's own thread. Then go for it!

Re: The new Prime Minister thread

Politifact is starting an Abbott election promise check, it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

Abbott's decision to hide the number of boat arrivals is disgusting, IMO. I hope the information is released somehow.

I suspect he may get an audit done by some trusted Lib (think was it Peter Costello ?) ...'discover' that the figures are not what they thought and plans made may be unmade .

sneaky huh ? i dont see how he can hide it (the numbers) its a story with too much interest surrounding it.. 2 NY Times journo's made the trip this week themselves. he's got nowhere to hide.

I note that he wants to live at Kirribilli, even after the Lodge is repaired.   Wot a surprise!   Now who does that remind me of?

If I was PM I'd want to live at Kirribilli. It's God's own special place!

Re: The new Prime Minister thread

What really bothers me is that we as a voting country have let this roll along. Where has our "lucky country" faded away to? How on earth can we educate ourselves so we can vote sensibly and really save ourselves from going right down the proverbial drain, as we seem to be doing rather too easily.
