Re: The real Tony Abbott

It never ceases to amaze me that people are still peddling the lie that the previous govt had wrecked the economy. I was travelling leading up to the last election and many conservative governments around the world were holding up the Australian economy as one that had managed to get through the world financial crises and the recession that followed successfully. Of course while doing this these same govts were slashing wages, services etc. How hard is it to understand that if the majority (working, unemployed, pensioners) have no money they can't buy all the products, pay for services, etc to keep the economy going.

The last election was a farce - It went a bit like this -

How to win an election in 3 easy steps

1. Get your billionaire media mates/parasites to convince everyone that the Australian economy is in danger of collapsing. (Even when their is proof everywhere that this isn't the case).

2. Don't allow your party candidates to speak to the media.

3. Sit back and pretty much keep your mouth shut.

Oh and I forgot about this **bleep** about the necessity of a surplus. Even conservative economists admit that a surplus is not necessary for a healthy budget.

And to tell the truth, neither party have anyone decent, honest and trustworthy enough to be a leader.

If Labor did not have the KR - JG - KR backstabbing and faction splits, maybe 50% of voters would not have votd for Liberal? TA was not liked very much, but people were hoping that the party would rectify what damage Labor has done, and they lost their trust in Labors politicians.

As far as I am concerned both KR and TA are selfserving, selfopinionated, arrogant little dictators, and JG was a puppet to the s**t stirrers string in her party. Took her a topple to realise that.

Well, why fight here and argue over politicians that are not worth a cent of the money they get for doing nothing for our country? Find someone that is honest, trustworthy, intelligent and strong enough to work for the people of this country and not for themselves and their mates.

This is my opinion on todays politics.

BTW, I voted for neither, because I did not like the candidates and what was happening.

For your information, the damage Labor has done is that people lost trust and confidence in Politicians.

I should have made myseelf clearer.

Just standing at the polling booth entrance and listening to how many people just voted bcause it is mandatory. Many had no idea whom to vote for.

Re: The real Tony Abbott

Labor failed in selling their polices, it was pretty hard when the reporting was biased.  Some voters vote for the policies and leave the personalities out of it, I didn't like rudd much either but I voted labor because they had the better policies.

Good on him I say for staying so fit and not being ashamed of his body. Some could learn a lesson or two from him IMO. For him it's a hobby?....maybe a few more should take up hobbies?

And no he's not my favourite but neither were the two labor leaders last year.
