Indeed. Sport my wide,white ass
Takes no talent, ability or effort to blast a defenceless creature with a gun
Any luck, a few of them will backfire in the scumbags faces
Then the bleeding hearts will cry 'what a tragedy'

Yes, I've seen that before ...
I still wish the ducks had guns so that they weren't just used as target practice for people who want to shoot them down for no other reason.
Very few hunters hunt them for food, the vast majority just want to kill the ducks because they can.

Can't put it better than that, so worth repeating. A thousand times over.

ive actually heard a comercial on radio here in south oz i presume is put out by the duck hunter group (whatever banner they run under)
in the ad we are introduced to (insert guys name) who is duck hunter and a conservationist,
it then goes into explaining how shooting ducks is saving the enviroment.
but all i hear is,
"hi, i'm jed clampett, duck hunter, hello little ducks, i'm here to shoot you and thus saving your life"
i have no objection to anyone getting the thrill of shooting, at targets, at a firing range.
i have some objection to professional shooters killing wildlife but as its govt controlled (i hope) i will live with it.
i have no objection to farmers having guns for the sole purpose of farm related shooting. that does not include killing just for fun, even under the guise of gathering food' of course if you run a cattle station you can shoot an animal for food on the station and butcher it ect. or a sheep station.
but no, i say you cant just hop in the ute and go out blasting anything that moves. not even on your own property, you do not own the native wildlife.
i see no reason for anyone who lives in suburbia to be out killing anything.
