I have ordered mine today, not going to change my mind as my lovely mummy is buying it for me.
I'm interested in the more healthy side of cooking, fresh vegies and herbs etc without additives of any kind.
For those that have one, which pages and recipes do you follow?

Yes, the Mmix Cook Expert. What a splendid looking thing it is. It's built like a tank and appears to be something of great quality .. I'm thinking that somewhere up the track, when competition and the market push the prices down, that's the machine I would go for as it's a very high standard and most importantly, all stainless steel.
Because I already have their food processor, I guess I'd leave that part in the box and use mine in conjunction with it.
We're having lots of fun with the TCook at the moment, it's ours to keep if we want to, otherwise we can pass it on to someone else. Our friends didn't want it and gave it to us to have on permanent loan but it's true to say we wouldn't buy this machine, or the TMix, but would the Mmix CEx (later).
So far, we've made lots of main dishes and a couple of desserts all successfully. Anything that has to be removed from the bowl and put into the oven separately we haven't bothered with (yet).
Hope everyone here who has a multi machine is really enjoying it ...

Tasfleur, you are inspirational with your talk about what you have cooked etc
What I've found particularly interesting is you don't actually have the thermomix, you have the t/cook yet it sounds as if you are working out exactly what can be done on each machine.
As for the cook expert, I also liked the fact it is all stainless steel and doesn't build up pressure so the lid won't blow off.
You mentioned the food processor part. This is where I think it is wise for people to keep some of their other gadgets even if they get a cook expert, thermomix or whatever.
Just say you had something cooking away in your machine. It might only be going to take a few minutes, eg 10, but in the meantime, you would like to make a start on something else, maybe grating ingredients for coleslaw or whatever.
You wouldn't be able to do it, not with the same machine. But if you have a separate food processor, viola.
Do you know if the cook expert is any good at making flours? My friend is gluten intolerant and would really like a machine that could do small amounts of flour.

Totally agree with you Springy, it would be tragic to get rid of the other appliances that basically can do the same thing other than cook. What happens when the multi machine breaks down and suddenly, nothing to use until it's repaired? I think I'll always keep my other things, none of them were/are cheap and all work and can be used alongside for extra time saving as you suggest.
Most of these machines work the same way I'm finding, which means I can use any of the recipes from any site on the internet. Hardly any modification needed at all.
I've read somewhere that the Mmix Ck Ex doesn't have quite the power for flour grinding but will do it? .. all depends how much one would use it for that (your friend would). It would not be an impediment for me personally though because I wouldn't need it, but it might be important for someone who does. I have a power blender that can grind flour if needed. The TMix and TCook grind well, but so do other brands.
