Pakistani sisters shot dead after being filmed dancing outside their home
I find it embarrassing that we accuse our mp's of being a misogynist when this is what is happening to women in other countries.

Misogyny /mɪˈsɒdʒɪni/ is the hatred or dislike of women or girls. Misogyny can be manifested in numerous ways, including sexual discrimination, denigration of women, violence against women, and sexual objectification of women.[1][2] Misogyny has been characterised as a prominent feature of the mythologies of the ancient world a...Western philosophers have been described as misogynistic.[1] The male counterpart of misogyny is misandry, the hatred or dislike of men; the antonym of misogyny is philogyny, the love or fondness of women.
There are different degrees.

agree channys mum. what happened to the girls in pakistan is horrific and unacceptable. that doesn't mean that lesser actions and attitudes against women are not sexism and misogyny. yes women do have it better than others around the world, but we can't walk down the road in the dark and feel safe (there was another horrific attack in Melbourne). we still fight for equal pay, equal rights, the rights to govern our own bodies. we are still turned into objects in advertising and pushed into gender stereotypes. it is terrible imo that some men still live have such out of date views and lack of ability to evolve. what disgusts me more than anything though is that many women do not support each other, rather they tear each other down to make up for their own insecurities. men on the other hand give each other a hand up. we can feel great sadness at what happened to these young girls but how are we ever to stop such atrocities when we can't even work together in this country (or even in this forum) without nastiness, name calling and the judgement of other women. until we accept differences and learn to stand together nothing will improve for women of any culture.

And after the bollocking Gillard took for mentioning abortion looks what Fred Nile has bullied O'Farrell into. Zoe's law that Zoe's mum did not approve the use of Zoe's name for.

Agree with az. Insulting to the women who died to compare their fate with that of an Australian MP who is a misogynist.
Actually it's more insulting to the women who died to compare their fate with that of an ex Aussie PM who portrays herself as a victim of misogyny IMO

Please. where are all these examples of the ex PM portraying herself as the victim of misogyny?
it some evidence to back up the claim.
I think I watched more of her performance than you and not once did I see
her portray herself as a victim. Even in the speech she gave in parliament that day was did not claim to be a victim. So I'm really curious where all these examples are. Just a few links will do. I'd like to see what I missed out on seeing. If it was actually there to see.
