I am sure there are plenty of teachers out there that do far worse and get away with it, it was common when I was at kindy that kids would have their mouths washed out with soap.
Aren't parents precious these days? Humiliating kids is far more damaging than sticky tape.
Yes bleeding lips etc but some parents will go to the school about ANYTHING when teachers behave inappropriately and children don't know it so don't report it.
Teachers need to be taught how to teach, not just what to teach.

It's called switching off, what I hate is parents giving their kids their phones to amuse them, I get nervous they are going to drop them all the time.
