I would probably do it too... other people's children annoy me.
Teacher Priscila Davo Ortega suspended after sticky-taping mouths of giggling 10 year olds
A PRIMARY schoolteacher has been suspended for cellotaping over the mouths of her 10-year-old pupils after they refused to stop giggling and talking.
Priscila Davo Ortega, 27, allegedly lined up more than 20 children during her art lesson and put layers of sticky tape across their lips because they were being too noisy.

well I guess in all fairness some of the kids did end up with bleeding lips.. .that is not nice...
At least I can admit I could not handle it.... a good teacher is soooo underpaid. I wish we could afford to pay them double what they get.

We ate lunch out today, I wanted to slap the Mother of a child of about 15 months, she sat and texted on her phone and allowed the child to run riot during the entire time we were eating, the child managed to cause the waitress a nervous breakdown, and my OH to have fire escape his ears. On 2 occasions she stopped texting and put him in a chair, but by the time she picked up her phone to resume her more important task, he was off again.

The trouble with children today is that they know the law is on their side and nobody can touch them for any kind of punishment, so they play up, are disrespectful and do what they want, not what a Teacher tells them to do.
I wonder what kind of adults they'll grow into?

Yep, that is another pet peeve... parents that ignore their children. I am pretty flexible as I know how hard it can be to get your kids to settle as a single parent.... but I tell ya what... some parents seem oblivious to their own kids.

It's called switching off, what I hate is parents giving their kids their phones to amuse them, I get nervous they are going to drop them all the time.

do they know the law?
The trouble with some children, in my opinion, is they are not taught respect by parents who have no respect for anyone else.
Teachers should know better than to do that. If she had taped up my child's mouth I would have been at the school asap, after I had rushed to the hospital to meet the ambulance with my child, who had a severe reaction to the cellotape.
