For myself, I found a few bargains to resell, but nothing to such amount of profit. Once I was in a small Church OP Shop, found a couple of small things and on the way out, standing at the counter to pay for my purchases, one lady was unpacking a box of glassware. She put an unusually patterned Genie bttle on the counter and I asked how much they want for it. She looked at me questioningly and asked; "Is $3.- to much?" I told her I'd give her $5.- for it and took it home. Listing it on eBay, I did not have much hope of making a big profit, but for me every dollar counts. It ended up selling for $158.- and I did a happy dance. This was my biggest sale on eBay.

Oh dear.
My sister & I had a stall at a Rotary market last November. We had to clear out a lot of stuff from what used to be the family home after my brother died.
There was a genie bottle in orange that used to be mum's, we sold it for $5, hadn't been sure to even take it. A friend later told me they fetch decent prices.
I think I have the knack of underselling.

At a recent Collectables Fair in Brisbane \i bought a handsome but tarnished Silver Serving Dish.
Elegant square rounded shape with beautiful lines and a fitted lid. Darling little feet on it and \i was enamoured.
Bought it for 15 dollars with intentions of drilling holes in it and planting a herb.
Showed my Mum and as she does she turned it over to look faor a mark.
Hardy Brothers 925.Sterling Silver.
Polished and sitting on my sideboard!

Yes the prices got a bit ridiculous at our local salvos. I mean $5 per item, c'mon.
But back to normal now.
