I love a good storm (obviously when I'm inside and safe, looking out)
We have rain and lots of thunder and lightning happening. The smells are fantastic too.
Half your luck! Watched a storm front approaching yesterday on BOM, hoping to clear away the 40 deg heat. Big solid rain band with associated thunderstorms. tracking across Victoria all afternoon, west to east. Checked and rechecked, yup. West to East, looks like it'll be a good un.
Checked again at 6pm - still West to East - so Melbourne's Eastern suburbs will get a welcome wetting and thunderstorm show - as it rolls in from Western Victoria - fantastic!
Actually physically watched the storm front rolling in - 10-15 mins away. Excellent.
Checked the BOM weather again, at 6:20 pm - yup. Still coming. North to South. Wait! What? Yep. 15 minutes away from us, and the weather pattern changed direction and we got nuthin! Bit of wind, no rain and only a 5 deg drop in temp.
Then watched in vain as the rain band headed out over Port Philip Bay to sea.
The story more and more these days. Must be the big man in the sky - payback!

Community Service Information :
For those who may not be aware, lightening always take the path of least resistance, electrical resistance that is, so if there is anything conductive higher than you in the area the strike will be there.
So if you are under a lamp post that is taller than you are you would not get struck. If the lamp post is shorter than you, then you are one tall dude ๐

Kewl paints.
Wouldn't they look good if they were shaped like lotus flowers floating (with the chlorine tabs in the base - dual purpose).
