I think the problem is the expectation that posters would accept the OP's opinion and cease starting political threads simply because the OP doesn't like those sort of threads. Why would they do that? It is acceptable to start threads on politics here.
I don't agree there is a 'side' issue with political threads either. As long as posters don't start attacking any other poster personally.. it is fair game.
Yes, I believe some peope have. Everyone has the right to say what they don't like, are sick of, as long as it's within the guidelines, and apparently this thread topic is, as it hasn't been removed.

I posted one thread for each side, I did not post that anyone had to stay with the party they preferred. Go at each other in those two threads.
Sorry but that suggestion is quite ridiculous. If someone starts a thread on criticising the stopping the boats policy and another wants to discuss the changes in funding for the NDIS.. ??????????????????????????????????? They should do that all in one thread?

Yes,the opening post is still here, so are all the rest of the posts. The majority of which don't agree with the OP's opinion.
Please explain why it is only the LNP supporters that don't want any political discussion/criticism of the current Govt??
I suggest the OP writes to all the mainstream media outlets in Australia and asks them not to publish any political stories for the next 3years.. that would be just as silly as expecting people on forums to do the same.

no, that will never happen.
If it wasn't for the political and news threads, how many would there be?
Start a group?
who would bother?

these guidelines Icy ?
Thank you, Iza, yes 🙂
to discourage others from using eBay or its related services (including PayPal).
Where has anyone done that? Where does it say to discourage others from posting certain topics (including Paypal) on Forums?
for petitions or campaigns against eBay or its related services (including PayPal).
Where has anyone done that? Where does it say for petitions for campaigns agains posting certain topics (including Paypal) on Forums.
I have to go, be back later.
If poster or posters were discouraging ebay members who post about politics ...that appears to me (as I am one) to fit in the discouraging members from using an ebay related services .
It doesn't fit with CS values either imo .
From past threads you have confirmed here that you did contact ebay with your views to changing what is permittied on these boards. No change has been made from the complaint/suggestion made through the appropriate channels .
yet here we are again lol
If anyone was posting that it is OK and it isn't according to those guidelines would they be giving false/misleading information about ebay and related services ?
ps i note you did it again....lol
you have posted political threads again
"ps i note you did it again....lol
you have posted political threads again"
Simply to demonstrate that I can post what I like as long as it's within the rules and regulations of the Forum moderators

It is not the way forums work either .. for another poster to say here is a thread if you want to talk about cats you must post in this thread only... do not make new threads about cats... do not post in the dog thread about cats either. There are two threads one about cats and one about dogs.. no-one shall start other new threads ever on these topics.

It doesn't figure.. having 2 threads only about politics... especially when there are no rules preventing any poster from starting a gazillion political threads a day if they want to (because there are no rules saying they should not do that).
It is a consipiracy by CS LNP supporters to quell public discussion on the current Govt's failures.
