Yes, you have already mentioned that. Posters can say what they want (withing posting rules) .... does it mean every single person that reads their posts agrees with it or has to do what the poster wants them to do?? No, it doesn't. Others don't have to take one bit of notice about what the OP would like to see happen. Does one poster speak for all?
If anyone is holding their breath waiting for political threads to cease they are going to have a very looooooooooong wait.
But it doesn't mean there aren't a lot of posters/lurkers who don't agree with the OP, just because a majority of the posts in the thread have disagreed with the OP. She has the right to post her thoughts, they are not against ebay forum rules, as has been suggested.

People can leave kudo's instead of posting in the thread because they just agree with what's been posted, have nothing else to add. Personally, I don't pay attention to kudos.

I do not deny other posters to say that they do not like political discussion, but I do object being told that because they do not like it, I should not post on subjects that interest me.
As for being "flooded"; actually, if you look at the 1st page there are more non political topics than those that could be considered political. In any case, if there are lot of political topics that means that many people are interested in that. 🙂

I have not said she has no right to post her thoughts. She has no right to expect others to want to agree to what she suggests though. One persons thoughts... doesn't make much of a ripple in a forum.
One can only go on the posts here in black and white.. we can't mind read lurkers minds. If anyone felt strongly on this topic why wouldn't they post their opinion?
Apart from that, what you and OP is suggesting is just ridiculous. There is no rule stating there will only be 2 political threads allowed. Posters are free to start as many threads as they like on general topics, incl politics on CS. A few LNP supporters spitting the dummy isn't going to change that.
A few people can not force their opinions on to others, especially when there are no ebay rules to enforce for what they are suggesting.
CS is for general topics.. including politics.

well that's the idea. instead of quoting the post only to say "I agree", they give it thumbs up which would mean they support the view/idea/comment. they may not all be LNP supporters. they may simply feel the way i do.

The thread is still here.... for now....... maybe not because it is or isn't within the guidelines of posting but maybe because no one has reported it yet?
or it hasn't quite developed into an interpersonal/witch hunt/ slanging match etc............ yet.

Okay, firstly, reading lurkers minds? I suggested that some kudo's could be from lurkers who agreed and had nothing else to add, if they choose not to post their own opinion, that's their right.
Secondly, nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. It was a wish, a hope, a "for goodness sake can there please be something other that political threads in here today" (my opinion only) which is not against the rules to post. You are still allowed to say you don't like posts about political stuff, photos, whatever?

It has been proven, time after time, that you can post anything you like until someone takes exception to your post.

Its ridiculous.
Its done. Its over.
Let it go until the next election.
I don't know which members you refer to in your OP
I would appreciate being seperated from your statements on what you state other members do as a political posters.
Your view that politics and discussion of ends after an election is ridiculous .
Who are you to tell me what I can and can't post about ?
Don't take other members enjoyment and rights away from them.
You have your own

You know, sometimes, it's just not about YOU. (not you personally, I mean, generally)
